In all the time I’ve spent doing this, I very rarely accepted deposits. Now, it’s mandatory for appointments shorter than 90 minutes.
Reason? I very RARELY get flakes so I didn’t think a deposit was necessary but after reviewing my records, the flakes that DO occur happen primarily (and most frequently) with the guys that opt for shorter appointments.
I do pay attention to client feedback, so I’m open to shorter appointments but I’ll always be closed off to timewasters. Time is precious, you can never get it back once its gone.
